The succession of Quentin Giordano on the highest step of the podium of the rally Epernay Vins de Champagne is particularly open. No less than 11 cars from the premier category have been announced this weekend at the start of this co-opening of the 2nd division French Rally Championship. Among the candidates for victory, we can cite Laurent Bayard (Fabia Rally2) who won in 2016 in Champagne and took 4th place in the rally final in Bethune in February or Eddy Lemaitre (French rally champion 2nd reigning division) which will be sailed by Thomas Chauffray in the Fabia Evo Rally2. But also Bozec, Salaun, Prévalet, Bouchy, Schwab, Marchal or the former winners Vauthier (9 victories) and Pereira (2 successes). Laurent Viana and Isabelle Galmiche will try to place the DS3 WRC as high as possible compared to the latest generation cars.

The FRC4 group is the most represented with 48 crews, ahead of the FRC5 (25) and the FRallyNat (23), some great fights in perspective.

As for the Michelin Rallye Tour, we will follow the performances of Michel Bourgeois (Lancer Evo 10) and Jimmy Turquin (C2) over these two days of racing in the Côte des Blancs on Saturday and in the Marne valley on Sunday.
