The Plan de la Tour special (20,25 km), fifth ES of the rally du Var, saw Robert Kubica once again shine. The Citroën C4 WRC n°1 of the Pole is credited with the best time in 13’11”0. As has been the case since the start of the event, Freddy Loix (Peugeot 307 WRC) follows…but at a respectable distance however. The Belgian is in fact 39” behind on this special. Cédric Robert (Peugeot 5 S207) is third at 2000”50. Craig Breen (+2’39”3) seems to have made a mistake, and falls back in the general classification. Lionel Baud (Peugeot 307 WRC) and Julien Maurin (Ford Fiesta WRC) complete the top 5 of this SS.
Overall, Kubica has a lead of 1’25”0 over Freddy Loix and 2’04”2 over Cédric Robert. Next Julien Maurin (+2'04"2), Charles Zuccarelli (+2'50"8), Pierre Roché (+2'59"1), Gilles Nantet (+3'02"5), Lionel Baud (+3 ’07”5) and Romain Dumas (+3’15”9).
