Beaten by 7″5 by Julien Maurin in SS4, nine-time world rally champion Sébastien Loeb set the best time in the following special, taking… 7″5 from the reigning French Champion. The gap between the two rivals overall therefore amounts to 15″5 in favor of the Citroën DS3 driver. WRC. Davis Salanon gives up even more than 15″ in this fifth timed sector of the day and is in 3rd place in the standings. rally already more than a minute behind the leading duo.
Note that Stéphane Lefebvre was forced to retire in Peugeot 208 Rally Cup, victim of a mechanical problem which prevented him from restarting before this SS5.
