While Robert Kubica (Citroën C4 WRC) signs his eighth consecutive scratch at the Rally du Var in the Pignans special, his direct rival Freddy Loix (Peugeot 307 WRC) est victime d’une sortie de route. Le leader de l’épreuve dispose désormais d’une avance de près de quatre minutes sur Cédric Robert qui s’empare de la deuxième place au volant de sa 207 S2000. Romain Dumas se retrouve sur le podium provisoire avec sa Porsche 996 GT3 RS mais le vainqueur des 24 Hours of Le Mans 2010 is only three tenths ahead of Pierre Roché's Mini Countryman WRC.
Julien Maurin now completes the top five ten seconds behind but his Ford Fiesta WRC is only four seconds ahead of the Porsche 997 Cup of Gilles Nantet. Charles Zuccarelli is seventh in his 206 WRC ahead of Citroën Racing Trophy leader Stéphane Consani. Craig Breen dropped to ninth place following a second puncture on his 207 S2000. Quentin Gilbert places his DS3 R3 in the top ten.
