Nine-time world rally champion Sébastien Loeb struck a big blow in the eighth special of the Rally du Var, last round of the French Rally Championship. The Citroën driver signs the scratch with a 15″ lead over the Ford Fiesta of French Champion Julien Maurin, doubling his overall lead, which passes the 2″ mark. David Salanon (Ford Fiesta) remains 30rd overall, more than 3'1 behind the leading duo. Patrick Magnou (Peugeot 206 WRC) and Pierre Roché (Ford Fiesta) retain 4th and 5th places.
