Paul Chieusse lost almost seven seconds in the second pass of Rasteau (SS4) and ceded control of the event to the Peugeot 307 WRC by Jean-Manuel Beuzelin. Stéphane Chambon climbs to third place 11 seconds behind the Championship leader, but his Subaru Impreza is chased by the Peugeot 207 S2000 of Stéphane Pellerey. With 30 seconds behind the scratch, Germain Bonnefis fell to fifth place, 17 seconds behind the first 207 S2000.
