Victory and title for Nasser Al-Attiyah and Mathieu Baumel

By winning the Lebanon Rally, Nasser Al-Attiyah became Middle East champion for the 18th time. For his part, the French co-driver obtained an 8th victory at this level.

Victory and title for Nasser Al-Attiyah and Mathieu Baumel

At the wheel of their Polo R5, the Qatari and his low-Alpine navigator were never worried. Leaders from the first special, they won 8 of the 10 SS contested (192,30 km timed) on asphalt. They won with more than 5 minutes ahead of the 2e. This 85e victory of the Olympic medalist in skeet allows him to obtain his 18e title of MERC champion. Installed to the right of the Qatari since 2015, Mathieu Baumel adds an 8e line to an already well-stocked track record.
