Wales Rally GB – SS19: Evans takes over Mikkelsen

Elfyn Evans (M-Sport) took the scratch in the first pass of Brenig which will serve as the Power Stage for Wales Rally GB by taking more than 4 seconds from Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai). Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) was the closest with 2 seconds behind, ranking 2 tenths ahead of Ott Tänak (Toyota). Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) finished almost 5 seconds behind, a few tenths behind Kris Meeke (Toyota).

 

 

Ott Tänak remains almost 11 seconds ahead of Thierry Neuville. Sébastien Ogier is now more than 13 seconds behind the Belgian and sees Kris Meeke come back to less than 8 seconds. Elfyn Evans took 5th place, 1”6 ahead of Andreas Mikkelsen, who has resisted the Welshman’s attacks since yesterday. Pontus Tidemand (M-Sport) remains 7th ahead Craig Breen (Hyundai). Kalle Rovanperä (Skoda) remains solid leader of the WRC 2 Pro in 9th place.
