Abu Dhabi Team WRT confirmed this evening that the Irishman Craig Breen, who made a mistake in SS5, would not restart in Rally 2 tomorrow at Wales Rally GB, the damage to the DS3 WRC being too important after the series of rolls in SS5.
“We had a good morning, with a level of performance that allowed me to be in the top 5, admits Breen. I still gave myself a little scare and tried to find the balance between attack and caution.
I wanted to apply the lessons learned from the first pass this afternoon, but we lacked success from SS5. The car slid and the front hit an embankment on the inside. We rolled over several times and were unable to leave under our own power. It's frustrating, but that's racing. »
