Dani Sordo (Hyundai) a profité d’une erreur d’Esapekka Lappi (Citroën) dans l’ES10 du Rally from Germany to take 20 seconds from the Finn. The latter found himself stuck in a ditch.

It is Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) which signed the scratch in the 14,78km of Freisen with a time of 8'31''7 allowing it to regain 2 tenths from Ott Tänak (Toyota) et Dani Sordo. Teemu Suninen (M-Sport) a suivi à plus de 2 secondes en devançant Kris Meeke (Toyota). Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) failed by more than 4 seconds and lost 6 tenths to the Northern Irishman. Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) followed a second behind, ahead of Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) and Gus Greensmith (M-Sport).

Ott Tänak still has a 6”5 lead over Thierry Neuville. Sébastien Ogier retains 3rd place for 3”2 ahead of Kris Meeke. Jari-Matti Latvala follows his teammate by more than 5 seconds.
