Ott Tänak (Toyota) a signé un nouveau scratch en bouclant les 10,73km d’Arena Panzerplatte, l’ES12 du Rally d’Allemagne, en 6’05’’8. Le leader de la course a repris 6 dixièmes à Thierry Neuville (Hyundai). Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) a suivi à une seconde en devançant de près d’une seconde son coéquipier Kris Meeke. Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) a suivi à plus de 2 secondes en devançant Teemu Suninen (M-Sport), Dani Sordo (Hyundai), Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai), Esapekka Lappi (Citroën) et Gus Greensmith (M-Sport). Takamoto Katsuta (Toyota) a fini à plus de 24 secondes.
Ott Tänak now has a 5”6 lead over Thierry Neuville. Sébastien Ogier remains 3rd with only 1''4 ahead of Kris Meeke. Jari-Matti Latvala follows more than 3 seconds behind. Andreas Mikkelsen remains 6th with more than 9 seconds ahead of Dani Sordo who has almost 4 seconds ahead of Esapekka Lappi. Takamoto Katsuta is 9th ahead of Gus Greensmith.
