After Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) dans le premier passage, c’est Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) who suffered a puncture in Panzerplatte, SS15 of Rally d’Allemagne. Le Français a échoué à 1’33 du scratch réalisé par Kris Meeke (Toyota). Le Nord-Irlandais a repris une douzaine de secondes à son coéquipier Ott Tänak who can now control his lead.
Dani Sordo (Hyundai) a été le plus proche avec moins de 2 secondes de retard. Teemu Suninen (M-Sport) a suivi devant ses compatriotes Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) et Esapekka Lappi (Citroën). Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) a fini à une douzaine de secondes de son coéquipier espagnol mais a tout de même repris près de 5 secondes à Andreas Mikkelsen.
Ott Tänak finished the second stage more than half a minute ahead of Kris Meeke who took a slight lead over Jari-Matti Latvala. Toyota can hope to score a hat-trick in this event. The Yaris WRC are followed at a good distance by the Hyundais, Dani Sordo now ahead of Thierry Neuville who has taken over from Andreas Mikkelsen. Sébastien Ogier fell to 8th position almost half a minute behind his teammate Esapekka Lappi.
