Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) a signé le premier scratch du jour au Rally d’Allemagne en bouclant les 9,43km d’Arena Panzerplatte en 5’26’’4. Le Finlandais a ainsi repris près de 5 secondes à son rival direct Elfyn Evans (M-Sport). Dani Sordo (Hyundai) a été le plus proche avec un dixième de retard. Craig Breen (Citroën) a suivi à un peu plus d’une seconde juste devant Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport) qui a devancé de près de 2 secondes Ott Tänak (Toyota). Esapekka Lappi (Toyota) s’est classé à plus de 3 secondes de la référence en précédant Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) et Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai). Mads Ostberg (Citroën) s’est classé à 5 secondes en devançant Teemu Suninen (M-Sport) qui a manqué un virage.
Ott Tänak retains the lead of the Rally Germany with around ten seconds ahead of Sébastien Ogier. Thierry Neuville remains 3rd, 8 seconds ahead of Jari-Matti Latvala who took 4th place, almost 4 seconds ahead of Elfyn Evans. Dani Sordo remains 6th, 2 tenths behind the Welshman, ahead of Esapekka Lappi by a little over 3 seconds. Craig Breen remains 8th with 4 seconds ahead of Andreas Mikkelsen. Teemu Suninen completes the Top 10 with 4 seconds ahead of Mads Ostberg.
