Argentina-SS11: Breen rolls

Craig Breen (Citroën) lost around ten minutes in SS11 of Rally from Argentina where the start of the route was covered by thick fog. The Irishman rolled over in the 40,48km Cuchilla Nevada – Rio Pintos, the longest special of the event, while he was in sixth place.

Ott Tänak (Toyota) a signé son huitième scratch du week-end en réalisant un temps de 24’31’’0 avec 5’’6 d’avance sur Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) qui a repris une douzaine de secondes à Kris Meeke (Citroën) et Dani Sordo (Hyundai). Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) a suivi à plus d’une demi-minute en précédant Teemu Suninen (M-Sport) and Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport) which finished almost a minute behind the benchmark without encountering any particular problems.

Ott Tänak now has a 43-second lead over Thierry Neuville who took second place, eight seconds ahead of Kris Meeke. Dani Sordo is 17 seconds off the provisional podium, ahead of Sébastien Ogier by more than 40 seconds. Andreas Mikkelsen is only six seconds behind the Frenchman after being the first to take advantage of Craig Breen's accident, but the Norwegian sees Elfyn Evans come back to less than five seconds. Esapekka Lappi (Toyota) remains eighth ahead of Teemu Suninen.
