Returning to Rally2 after going off the road yesterday during SS4, Kris Meeke (Citroën) set the best time in the longest special of this second stage of the Rally from Argentina.

The Briton concludes the 36,68 km of Los Gigantes – Cantera El Condor in 20’01″6, six tenths ahead Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) and 1″5 in front Ott Tänak (Ford).

In the general classification, Elfyn Evans (Ford), fifth in SS11, remains leader with a lead reduced to under a minute against Neuville, at 55″9. Disturbed by hydraulic problems in SS10, Mads Ostberg (Ford) lost 7″2 on Neuville, and saw the gap for second place with Neuville increase to 10″.

Ott Tänak a pris l’avantage pour la quatrième place face à son équipier de M-Sport Sébastien Ogier at the end of this special. The Estonian now threatens Ostberg for the podium, the gap between the two Ford Fiestas peaking at 3″4. Sébastien Ogier remains in the race for the podium, standing 2″7 behind Tänak.

Latvala (Toyota), Paddon (Hyundai), Hänninen (Toyota), dont les soucis de puissance moteur sont de retour mais qui a passé Bertelli (Ford), et Tidemand (Skoda), toujours leader en WRC-2, follow in the top 10.
