Ott Tänak (Toyota) a signé son dixième scratch au Rally d’Argentine en bouclant les 16,02km de Los Gigantes – Cuchilla Nevada en 8’15’’5 avec un peu plus de deux secondes d’avance sur les Hyundai de Thierry Neuville and Dani Sordo. Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport) a suivi à trois secondes devant Esapekka Lappi (Toyota), Kris Meeke (Citroën), Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai), Teemu Suninen (M-Sport) et Elfyn Evans (M-Sport).
Ott Tänak has a 46'' lead over Thierry Neuville before competing in the 5km of SS40, the last special of the day. Kris Meeke is now almost 15 seconds behind the Belgian, still ahead of Dani Sordo, Sébastien Ogier, Andreas Mikkelsen, Elfyn Evans, Esapekka Lappi and Teemu Suninen.
