Esapekka Lappi (Toyota) a perdu plus d’une minute dans l’ES16 de Copina – El Condor en souffrant de nouveau d’une crevaison à l’arrière-droit survenue en début de parcours alors qu’il occupait la sixième place.
Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) a été le plus rapide en bouclant les 16,43km en 13’09’’5 avec une demi-seconde d’avance sur Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport). Ott Tänak (Toyota) followed two seconds ahead of its direct rival Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) by 2”5, just behind Kris Meeke (Citroën). Dani Sordo (Hyundai) finished almost five seconds behind the reference time, ahead of M-Sport drivers Elfyn Evans and Teemu Suninen.
Ott Tänak now has a 49-second lead over Thierry Neuville. Dani Sordo still completes the provisional podium ahead of Sébastien Ogier who is only 14 seconds ahead of Andreas Mikkelsen. Elfyn Evans took advantage of Esapekka Lappi's troubles to climb to sixth place ahead of Kris Meeke, while the Toyota driver fell to eighth position ahead of Teemu Suninen.
