Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) a démarré la deuxième étape du Rally of Argentina by taking the scratch in the 13,92km of Tanti – Mataderos completed in 9'08''1. The leader of the event was ahead Ott Tänak (Toyota) de 4 dixièmes, tandis que Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) a échoué à 4 secondes derrière Kris Meeke (Toyota) et Elfyn Evans (M-Sport). Le Français a précédé Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota), Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) et Teemu Suninen (M-Sport).
Dani Sordo (Hyundai) was the slowest, more than 15 seconds behind the benchmark. The Spaniard is plagued by engine problems.
Thierry Neuville now has almost 14 seconds ahead of Ott Tänak who overtook Sébastien Ogier by 2 seconds. Kris Meeke remains 4th ahead of Andreas Mikkelsen and Elfyn Evans grouped within a few seconds. Dani Sordo remains 7th ahead of Jari-Matti Latvala and Teemu Suninen.
