Third scratch in four specials for Andreas Mikkelsen (Volkswagen) Rally from Australia. The Norwegian driver sets the best time in the fourth SS (Newry16) in 6'22″6 and is ahead of his teammate Sébastien Ogier (Volkswagen) of 2″6.

Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) se hisse en troisième position à 6″1, un dixième devant Dani Sordo (Hyundai). Le pilote espagnol pourrait toutefois être pénalisé pour avoir pointé en retard au départ de l’ES.

The former Citroën driver precedes Eric Camilli (Ford) and his Hyundai teammate Hayden Paddon who admits to suffering with his two hard tires mounted at the front, coupled with two soft tires at the rear on his i20, while the other drivers favored four soft tires.

The New Zealander, who was 1″1 behind Mikkelsen after SS3, lost 12″6 and fell to third place overall behind leader Mikkelsen, now at the head of a lead of 12″9 over Dani Sordo. Paddon is at 13″7 while Sébastien Ogier is fourth at 20″0.

The other loser of this ES4 is Ott Tänak (Ford), third in the rally before the special, who conceded more than 30″ after a spin, problems with notes and difficulty with dust, and fell to eighth place overall, 36″1 behind Mikkelsen.

Jari-Matti Latvala (Volkswagen) still remains in the race, but drops even more than 1'44" on Mikkelsen, for a cumulative delay of 6'04" in the standings.
