Ott Tänak (Toyota) s’est offert son 4e scratch consécutif au Rally of Catalonia by completing the El Montmell special in 12'12''7 with 1''7 ahead of Sébastien Ogier (Citroen). Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) a limité son retard à 2’’2 en devançant son coéquipier Dani Sordo de plus d’une seconde, mais Sébastien Loeb (Hyundai) still lost a lot of time by being the slowest of the WRC clocking in at almost 8 seconds. The nine-time WRC champion ranks behind the Fords of Teemu Suninen and Elfyn Evans and Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota).
Thierry Neuville now has more than 20 seconds ahead of Dani Sordo who has overtaken Sébastien Loeb by a little more than a second. The Alsatian is under direct threat from Ott Tänak who is only 1”4 behind. Jari-Matti Latvala is 5th ahead of the Fords of Elfyn Evans and Teemu Suninen. Sébastien Ogier is still 8th.
