Sébastien Loeb (Hyundai) a de nouveau signé le scratch dans le juge de paix du jour, les 38,85km de La Fatarella – Vilalba, l’ES6 du Rally of Catalonia. The nine-time champion WRC a devancé de près de 9 secondes Kris Meeke (Toyota). Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) followed more than 11 seconds behind. Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) finished almost 18 seconds just ahead of his teammate Ott Tänak.
Dani Sordo (Hyundai) lost a lot of time finishing more than 21 seconds behind the benchmark. The Spaniard was ahead Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) and the Fords of Teemu Suninen and Elfyn Evans.
Sébastien Loeb takes control of the Rally de Catalunya with a 1”7 lead over Thierry Neuville. Dani Sordo fell to 3rd place almost 6 seconds behind the Belgian while maintaining a little more than 5 seconds ahead of Kris Meeke. Ott Tänak slips to 5th place while Jari-Matti Latvala climbs to 6th place ahead of Elfyn Evans who maintains the advantage over Teem Suninen.
