Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) increased its lead to Rally de Catalogne à l’issue de l’ES9 d’El Montmell. Sébastien Loeb a échoué à près de 4 secondes de son coéquipier belge, même si c’est Ott Tänak (Toyota) qui a signé le scratch avec un peu plus d’une seconde d’avance sur Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) et Dani Sordo (Hyundai). Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) a suivi à 3 secondes devant Teemu Suninen (M-Sport) qui a repris plus de 3 secondes à son coéquipier Elfyn Evans.
Thierry Neuville now has an 11”4 lead over Sébastien Loeb. Dani Sordo came back to within 6 seconds of the Frenchman. Ott Tänak and Jari-Matti Latvala still complete the Top 5 ahead of the Fords of Elfyn Evans and Teemu Suninen. Sébastien Ogier is isolated in 8th place.
