Chile – SS3: Neuville opportunist

After taking advantage of the interruption of SS2 at Rally from Chile to keep your tires, Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) a décroché le scratch dans la spéciale d’Espiago longue de 22,26km. Le Belge a bouclé le dernier parcours du premier passage en 14’23’’7 avec 2 dixièmes d’avance sur Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota), tandis qu’Ott Tänak (Toyota) followed at 7 tenths.

Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) finished less than 4 seconds ahead of his compatriot Sébastien Loeb (Hyundai) de plus de 7 secondes. Elfyn Evans (M-Sport) a suivi à 14 secondes devant Kris Meeke (Toyota). Les écarts sont plus importants derrière avec Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) et Teemu Suninen (M-Sport) échouant à environ une demi-minute. Esapekka Lappi (Citroën) a lâché 40 secondes.

 

 

Ott Tänak returns to service with a lead of 6 seconds over Sébastien Ogier and Thierry Neuville who was credited for his fixed time in SS2. Jari-Matti Latvala climbs to 4th place, 6 seconds behind the Belgian, ahead of Kris Meeke by almost 15 seconds. Elfyn Evans remains 6th, less than 2 seconds behind the Northern Irishman. Sébastien Loeb remains 7th ahead of Andreas Mikkelsen Teemu Suninen and Esapekka Lappi.
