Ott Tänak (Toyota) a creusé le trou dans la 4e spéciale du Rally from Chile, the second passage of El Puma, 30,72km long. The Estonian completed the course in 20'46''0 with around ten seconds ahead of Sébastien Loeb (Hyundai). Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) a suivi juste après l’Alsacien devant Sébastien Ogier (Citroën), Elfyn Evans (M-Sport) and Kris Meeke (Toyota).
Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) was further behind with more than 17 seconds behind. Esapekka Lappi (Citroën) finished almost 23 seconds behind by managing to beat Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) and Teemu Suninen (M-Sport).
Ott Tänak now has more than 17 seconds ahead of Sébastien Ogier. Jari-Matti Latvala moved up to 3rd place by overtaking Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) with a 6 tenths lead. Kris Meeke remains 5th just ahead of Elfyn Evans. Sébastien Loeb remains 7th but he is back within 6 seconds of the Welshman. Andreas Mikkelsen remains 8th with 3 seconds ahead of Teemu Suninen. Esapekka Lappi completes the Top 10.
