Thierry Neuville destroyed his Hyundai i20 WRC in the 8th special of Rally from Chile. As he sought to grab second place in Sébastien Ogier (Citroën), the Belgian rolled over the 23,09km Maria Las Cruces course. Hyundai said a medical team had been requested for the driver.

Sébastien Loeb (Hyundai) a signé son deuxième scratch sur cette épreuve en bouclant le parcours en 14’28’’3 avec 2 dixièmes d’avance sur Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota). Ott Tänak (Toyota) followed a little over a second ahead of Kris Meeke (Toyota) who reached the finish line less than 4 seconds behind the benchmark despite his rollover on the previous course.
Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) a suivi avec un peu plus de 4 secondes de retard devant Elfyn Evans (M-Sport). Teemu Suninen (M-Sport) et Esapekka Lappi (Citroën). Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) rend encore environ une demi-minute sur la tête de la course.
Ott Tänak now has a half-minute lead over Sébastien Ogier. Jari-Matti Latvala climbs onto the provisional podium, still having a little more than 4 seconds ahead of Sébastien Loeb. Elfyn Evans climbs into the Top 5, still ahead of Teemu Suninen, Esapekka Lappi and Andreas Mikkelsen.
