The SS1 of the Tour de Corse, the 49,03km of La Porta – Valle di Rostino, has already stretched the peloton WRC with very significant differences. Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport) a réalisé un temps canon en bouclant le parcours en 31’53’’8. Seul Sébastien Loeb (Citroën) was able to finish less than ten seconds behind (9''7) by starting behind, Ott Tänak (Toyota) ayant suivi à 18 secondes !
Some drivers have already lost a lot of time at the front of the race. Kris Meeke (Citroën) followed 19 seconds ahead Thierry Neuville (Hyundai). Elfyn Evans (M-Sport) s’est classé à plus d’une demi-minute en précédant de plusieurs secondes les Hyundai de Dani Sordo et Andreas Mikkelsen. Les Toyota d’Esapekka Lappi et de Jari-Matti Latvala ont échoué à plus de 43 secondes. Bryan Bouffier (M-Sport) a suivi à 50 secondes.
