Sébastien Loeb (Citroën) went off the road in SS2 of the Tour de Corse, the 13,55km from Piedigriggio – Pont de Castirla. The C3 WRC of the nine-time WRC champion ended his race in a ditch after being caught braking. Despite the help of spectators, the Alsatian does not seem to be able to leave.

Meanwhile, Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport) a signé son second scratch avec un temps de 7’59’’9. Esapekka Lappi (Toyota) et Kris Meeke (Citroën) ont été les plus proches avec deux secondes de retard, juste devant Thierry Neuville (Hyundai). Bryan Bouffier (M-Sport) s’est distingué en terminant à quatre secondes et en devançant Dani Sordo (Hyundai) de deux secondes. Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) et son coéquipier Ott Tänak follow at around seven seconds just ahead of Elfyn Evans (M-Sport). Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) finished 14 seconds after making a mistake.
Sébastien Ogier is now ahead of Kris Meeke by 21 seconds. Thierry Neuville completes the provisional podium 2”3 behind the Northern Irishman, preceding Ott Tänak by less than two seconds. Elfyn Evans completes the Top 5 ahead of Dani Sordo, Esapekka Lappi, Jari-Matti Latvala, Andreas Mikkelsen and Bryan Bouffier.
