Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) a signé un bon temps dans la spéciale d’Alta-Rocca longue de 17,37km en se classant à une seconde du scratch d’Ott Tänak (Toyota) et en reprenant plus de 5 secondes à son coéquipier Dani Sordo. Derrière l’Estonien auteur d’un temps de 10’05’’2, Kris Meeke (Toyota) et Elfyn Evans (M-Sport) ont été les plus proches avec moins d’une seconde de retard. Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) a suivi à 3 secondes devant Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) and Teemu Suninen (M-Sport). Sebastian Loeb (Hyundai) follows at 6 seconds. Esapekka Lappi (Citroën) gave up almost 14 seconds after spinning.
Ott Tänak retains the lead with just over a second ahead of Elfyn Evans. Thierry Neuville climbs onto the provisional podium with 4 seconds ahead of Dani Sordo. Teemu Suninen took 5th place ahead of Jari-Matti Latvala taking advantage of Esapekka Lappi's error. The Finn now only has a one-second lead over Sébastien Ogier. Kris Meeke remains 9th while Sébastien Loeb is outside the Top 10.
