Elfyn Evans (M-Sport) s’est de nouveau offert le scratch dans les 17,6km de Bavella, l’ES4 du Tour de Corse, avec un temps de 10’17’’5 où il a repris près de 3 secondes à Ott Tänak (Toyota). Kris Meeke (Toyota) a suivi à un peu plus de 3 secondes devant Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) who preceded Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota), Teemu Suninen (M-Sport) and Thierry Neuville (Hyundai). Esapekka Lappi (Citroën) a été plus en retrait avec plus de 7 secondes de retard, précédant Dani Sordo (Hyundai). Sébastien Loeb (Hyundai) still struggles by dropping 9 seconds on the reference.
Elfyn Evans regains the lead of the race for just over a second ahead of Ott Tänak. Thierry Neuville takes some air from Dani Sordo while Teemu Suninen threatens the Spaniard. Jari-Matti Latvala remains 6th ahead of Sébastien Ogier who has taken over from his teammate Esapekka Lappi. Kris Meeke is ranked 9th, well ahead of Sébastien Loeb.
