The situation has greatly evolved at the Tour de Corse at the end of this sixth special. Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) a signé le meilleur temps en 11’13″1 et devance de 2″2 son équipier Dani Sordo et de 3″3 la Toyota Yaris de Juho Hänninen.

With his performance, Neuville initially took the opportunity to overtake Sébastien Ogier (Ford) for second place, the French having conceded 8″8 on the SS to the Belgian, who has an 8″2 lead overall over the world champion.

But the main information remains the engine problem encountered by Kris Meeke (Citroën). The leader of rally showed up at the finish of the SS with smoke escaping from his C3, while losing 15″ to Neuville. If the Briton temporarily retained control of the race, Citroën immediately confirmed Meeke's retirement for at least the end of the day.

Dani Sordo (Hyundai) will recover third place ahead Craig Breen (Citroën), who competed in the special without intercom, Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) and Hayden Paddon (Hyundai). Victim of a collision in the previous special, Stéphane Lefebvre (Citroën) did not start SS6. Note the exit of Elfyn Evans (Ford).

Andreas Mikkelsen (Skoda) follows in the standings, still dominating the WRC-2, after setting the best time on SS6, 2″7 ahead of Teemu Suninen (Ford) and 6″5 ahead of Pierre-Louis Loubet.
