Sebastian Loeb (Citroën) set the sixth time on a course that he discovered unlike his opponents. The nine-time WRC champion preceded Dani Sordo (Hyundai). Bryan Bouffier (M-Sport) set the ninth time, 9s behind the benchmark, just over a second ahead of Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) and Elfyn Evans (M-Sport).

Sébastien Ogier returns to mid-stage service with a lead of more than 41 seconds over Thierry Neuville. The Belgian remains under threat from Kris Meeke who is still around five seconds behind, but the two drivers are now put under pressure by Ott Tänak who is only two seconds from the provisional podium. Esapekka Lappi maintains fifth place ahead of Dani Sordo who now has a lead of more than four seconds over Elfyn Evans. Jari-Matti Latvala came within three seconds of the Welshman, followed eight seconds behind by Andreas Mikkelsen. Bryan Bouffier still completes the Top 10.
