Returned to contact with Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) dans le secteur précédent, Sébastien Ogier (Ford), victime d’un problème de pression hydraulique après l’ES7, a concédé plus de 36″ sur le pilote belge, auteur du meilleur chrono dans l’ES8 devant son équipier Dani Sordo et la Toyota Yaris de Jari-Matti Latvala.
Neuville now has a 38″9 lead over Ogier in the general classification, the latter retaining his second place for 18″8 over Dani Sordo. Jari-Matti Latvala is 4th at 11″7 behind the Spanish Hyundai driver, and remains under threat of Craig Breen, 5th at 2″8 behind the Finn.
Hayden Paddon (Hyundai) remains sixth in the event ahead of Andreas Mikkelsen (Skoda), still leader in category WRC.
