Former pilot, workshop manager and trainer Michel Enjolras died Wednesday January 20. A central player in the Simca Racing Team on the French circuits in the 1970s, Michel Enjolras then worked for many decades with Peugeot , this time in rally. The 205 T16 Group B, the 205 and 309 of Group A, the 306 Maxi or finally the 206 WRC and 206 Super 1600s were designed with his expertise.

His motorsport career spanned more than half a century. Michel Enjolras was also the father of Sébastien Enjolras, a hopeful who tragically disappeared during the preliminary tests of the 24 Hours of Le Mans 1997. His other son Pascal Enjolras today takes care of the Onyx Racing Enjolras structure.

François Delecour, passed through the Lion brand in the 1990s and 2000s in the French Championship and World Cup, paid tribute to him on his Facebook page. « Thank you Michel for being my guide and mentor during all these years. Your inextinguishable passion, your generosity, your malice and your thoughtfulness will remain forever engraved in my heart. »
