History of allowing private crews to play leading roles in the World Rally Championship 2 (WRC 2), the International Automobile Federation announced Friday evening the creation of a WRC2Pro from the 2019 season. This competition will be reserved for official teams, first and foremost Skoda Motorsport and its armada of contracted drivers. The Drivers, Co-Drivers and Manufacturers titles will be awarded.
The classic WRC 2, as it exists in 2018, will continue to exist only through private structures.
