Sébastien Loeb successfully leaves Rally of France-Alsace by setting the best time in the Klevener special. The Citroën driver completed the 9,68km in 5:41:7. “It was narrow and the route was therefore quite complicated”, commented the star of the event upon arrival.

Jari-Matti Latvala (Ford) is the closest to the Alsatian, finishing 2??6 behind DS3 WRC. The Finn's Fiesta RS WRC is slightly damaged on the right side. “It was very slippery in places, I didn’t expect that”, explains the Ford driver.

Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) is at 3??7 while Petter Solberg (Citroën) follows at 5 seconds. “I'm quite satisfied, I'm having a little trouble with the brakes but the feeling remains good”, declares the 2003 world champion.

Mikko Hirvonen (Ford) is already 5??9 behind the leader while Dani Sordo (Mini) finishes 6??8. “We don’t know where the pickets are in the corners, I think some will already give up”, comments the Flying Finn.

Pierre Campana (Mini) is having a difficult start in Alsace since he is already 24”7 behind the leader of the event. The gap is even greater for Yvan Muller (Peugeot ) who lost 41”8 at the end of the first special.
