Sébastien Ogier took advantage of an error by Sébastien Loeb to sign the best provisional time of the famous Arena Panzerplatte special, 34,18km long. The Citroën driver completed the course in 19:55:3 and is 2:3 behind the leader of the Rally from Germany, who made a mistake. “I went straight into a corner which was dustier than expected but everything is fine”, comments the seven-time world champion.

Petter Solberg (Citroën) finishes 6?1 behind Sébastien Loeb and is followed by Dani Sordo (Mini), who fails at seven tenths. His teammate Kris Meeke was slower as he finished 11 seconds behind the Spaniard.

Mikko Hirvonen (Ford) loses more than a minute on the leaders after suffering a puncture on the right rear of his Fiesta RS WRC and fell to fourth place.
