Petter Solberg (Citroën) is narrowly ahead of his rivals at the end of the Firstplan course. The private driver of the DS3 WRC completed the 16,5km course in 8:18:0, gaining six tenths from Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) and nine tenths to Dani Sordo (Mini), the Spaniard having flown through the last split while he was late in the previous ones.

Jari-Matti Latvala (Ford) fails to keep up with the pace of the leaders as he fails 1?6 from the scratch, but he still gains time from Kris Meeke (Mini), who fails six seconds behind the time reference. Mikko Hirvonen (Ford) finished one second behind the Briton.

Petter Solberg thus takes over the head of the Rally of France-Alsace for only six tenths ahead of Dani Sordo. Sébastien Ogier is five tenths behind the Spaniard. Kris Meeke lost ground on Jari-Matti Latvala, the Flying Finn falling back to less than 15 seconds of the Mini driver.
