Sébastien Loeb (Citroen C4 WRC) took advantage of the Pays d'Ormont special (SS11, 35,5 km) to widen the gaps impressively. Advantaged by his passage first on roads which became more and more muddy with each passing passage, he finished 18??3 ahead of Dani Sordo (Citroën C4 WRC) and 22??3 over Sébastien Ogier (Citroën C4 WRC)! In just one special stage, the six-time World Champion practically doubled his lead.
