The Citroën team's instructions no longer require the leaders to attack. Sebastian Loeb completed the 14,29km of the Bosenberg special in 8?23??8 and was ahead of his teammate by 2??1. “We slowed down at the end of the special”, says Sébastien Ogier.

Mikko Hirvonen (Ford) once again slots himself between the leaders, falling 1??7 behind the world champion. “The road was very bumpy and very slippery. You might think you’re in Finland”, comments the Flying Finn at the finish of the special.

Kris Meeke (Mini) finished 2?7 behind the leader and ahead of Petter Solberg (Citroën) by four tenths. Dani Sordo lost time by conceding 3??1 to the Norwegian but the Spaniard indicated that he had not made any mistakes on the course.

Sébastien Loeb now has a lead of 3?4 over Sébastien Ogier. Dani Sordo is still comfortably installed in third position with more than 27 seconds ahead of Mikko Hirvonen. Kris Meeke is still in contact with the Finn 6??1 behind. Petter Solberg is now 15??4 behind the Briton.
