Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) a signé le scratch dans les 22,68km de Päijälä, l’ES15 du Rally from Finland, completing the course in 10'55''2. The Finn regained 5”4 on his teammate Esapekka Lappi. Elfyn Evans (Ford) was closest to the benchmark with almost 4 seconds behind, taking back almost 3 seconds from Juho Hänninen (Toyota). Mads Ostberg (Ford) finished more than 9s from the scratch. Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) a lâché une douzaine de secondes sur la tête de la course.
Jari-Matti Latvala takes the lead in Rally Finland with a 4s lead over his compatriot. The Finns now occupy the first four places since Juho Hänninen took 8th place between Teemu Suninen (Ford) and Elfyn Evans (Ford) who also took the advantage over Craig Breen (Citroen). The Irishman is now threatened by Mads Ostberg who is just over 3s behind. Thierry Neuville remains 8th.
