Jari-Matti Latvala (Ford) signs the scratch by finishing the Grand Ballon special (24,02km) in 13:31:5. Dani Sordo (Mini) is two seconds behind the Flying Finn while Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) gives up five tenths to its direct rival.
The leader tries to manage his lead even if the Spaniard's pace forces the Frenchman to maintain a sustained pace. “We are on the attack when the roads are clean but we are more careful when they are dirty, but it is a good thing to see the Mini performing so well”, comments the leader of Rally from France-Alsace.
Petter Solberg (Citroën) finished four tenths behind the reference time. Mikko Hirvonen is not taking any risks since team instructions will be applied. The Ford driver finished 23??7 behind his teammate.
Sébastien Ogier still has a seven-second lead over Dani Sordo. Petter Solberg protects his third position well ahead of Jari-Matti Latvala and Mikko Hirvonen.
