Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) took the lead Rally Monte-Carlo at the end of the Bayons – Bréziers SS2, 25,49km long. The Belgian completed the course in 15'01''1, 7''8 ahead of his closest rival, Sébastien Ogier (Ford). Craig Breen clocks in at 25 seconds from the benchmark on its old DS 3 WRC ahead of Dani Sordo (Hyundai) by a second.

Stéphane Lefebvre (C3 WRC) dismounted in the second special due to a mechanical problem.

The general rankings will be communicated once the standard times for SS1 have been adjusted.
