Sébastien Ogier takes a good option for victory, by setting the second time (+6.6 seconds) in the second passage of the Naekawa special won by Jari-Matti Latvala. The Citroën driver increased his lead over Petter Solberg to 11.3 seconds, the Norwegian having been unable to do better than the third time, 13.3 seconds from the scratch.

The winner of the special takes third place occupied by Dani Sordo, who set the fifth time (+14.6 seconds) behind Sébastien Loeb (+13.4 seconds). The Spaniard is now 6.9 seconds behind the Ford driver, while Sébastien Loeb logically recovers the fifth place occupied by Mikko Hirvonen, who finished more than 30 seconds behind the first time, following problems with the hydraulic pump of his Ford Focus RS WRC.
