Sébastien Ogier (Citroen C4 WRC), while he has a sufficient lead to move with confidence and caution towards victory, was the fastest on the first pass of the Sapporo Dome super special. The leader of the general classification was ahead of Jari-Matti Latvala (Ford Focus WRC) by a tenth, confirming his position, with only one special stage remaining.
