Ott Tänak (Ford) was the fastest in the 35,14km Hafren, the third stage of Wales Rally GB which is also the longest course of the day. The Dmack driver was 3”2 ahead of the leader of the event Sébastien Ogier (Volkswagen). Jari-Matti Latvala (Volkswagen) suit à plus de 8 secondes en précédant d’une seconde Kris Meeke (Citroën) qui devance lui-même Dani Sordo (Hyundai) du même écart. Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) lost two seconds to his Spanish teammate by beating Hayden Paddon (Hyundai). Craig Breen (Citroën) is more than 16 seconds behind the benchmark, ahead of Andreas Mikkelsen (Volkswagen) by 5 seconds and Mads Ostberg (Ford) by ten seconds. Éric Camilli (Ford) is a minute behind, dropping another 19 seconds to his compatriot Stéphane Lefebvre (Citroën).
Sébstien Ogier still maintains a ten-second lead over Ott Tänak. Kris Meeke climbs onto the provisional podium with 3 tenths ahead of Hayden Paddon. Jari-Matti Latvala climbed into the top five by half a second ahead of Craig Breen, while Andreas Mikkelsen dropped to 7th more than 5 seconds behind the Irishman. Thierry Neuville remains 8th, 3 seconds behind the Norwegian. Dani Sordo and Mads Ostberg complete the top ten.
