Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) lost its hopes of victory by suffering a puncture in the Terra Alta special, causing it to lose 1:40??0 from the lead of the event.

Jari-Matti Latvala (Ford) increases his lead by setting the best provisional time with a time of 23?19??4 over the 35,94km course. “It was a good course, I just eased off on the asphalt sections”, explains the leader of Rally of Catalonia.

Sébastien Loeb (Citroën) is 8 seconds behind at the end of the longest special stage of the day. “I was careful because I thought I had destroyed the front tires and there is still a stage to go”, explains the Alsatian.

Mikko Hirvonen (Ford) is still not in the running against the two remaining leading drivers. The Flying Finn is 19??3 behind his teammate at the end of the course. “It?s not too bad, I pushed hard but the course was really slippery”, explains the co-leader in the Championship.

Dani Sordo (Mini) fails 25 seconds behind Jari-Matti Latvala's benchmark time after having communication problems with his co-driver. “I couldn’t hear anything he was telling me”, explains the venue of the test.

Jari-Matti Latvala now has a 16-second lead over Sébastien Loeb before competing in the final special which will take place at night. Mikko Hirvonen took advantage of Sébastien Ogier's puncture to climb into 3rd position, 44 seconds behind his direct rival for the title. The Finn has a double advantage with the radio problem on Dani Sordo's car, which falls more than 30 seconds behind the Ford Fiesta RS WRC. Sébastien Ogier falls to 5th position, 20 seconds behind the Spaniard, who should be difficult to regain tomorrow on the asphalt.
