Dani Sordo (Mini) takes the lead Rally of France-Alsace at the end of this incredible first stage. The Spaniard takes the lead of the event for a second from Petter Solberg (Citroën) after having signed the scratch in the Salm special by completing the 13,06km in 7:03:8.
Jari-Matti Latvala (Ford) fights to catch up with the leaders, finishing eight tenths behind the Mini. Sébastien Ogier (Citroën), who confirmed having mechanical problems with his DS3, finished 3??2 from the scratch, followed three tenths by Mikko Hirvonen (Ford). Petter Solberg is four seconds behind the Mini driver. Kris Meeke (Mini) loses more than 15 seconds on his teammate after spinning.
