Even though the snow has stopped falling on the special stages of rally from Sweden, Mads Ostberg, first to set off from Lesjofors 1, cleared a snow-covered track. The Norwegian lost a lot of time there. “ There was more snow than I expected », he sums up, disappointed.
In the same situation yesterday, Sébastien Loeb finally managed to impose its mark from the first kilometers. He takes 10” from Ostberg. This is little considering the 2 minutes that separate them overall, but enough to move up to 6th place. “ I will attack as much as possible but there is no chance of catching up with the leaders », he regrets. The big loser of the morning was undoubtedly Henning Solberg. After 2 kilometers, his car rolled over. Even though he managed to get his Ford Fiesta back on track and complete the special, he conceded 5′ to Loeb, falling to 14th place in the standings.
His brother Petter put in a perfect performance, finishing 2”1 behind Latvala, faster than his teammate Hirvonen. The rally shows no signs of slowing down so far, and the fight for the lead in the race promises to be exciting.
