Petter Solberg (Citoën C4 WRC) has just achieved an incredible time in SS8, the second pass in the Sestrimo special. By finishing in 16'19??5, the Norwegian took back ten seconds from Sébastien Loeb (Citroën C4 WRC) and above all 13??7 to Dani Sordo (Citroën C4 WRC). Solberg is still third overall but finds himself thirteen seconds behind Sordo's second place!

Solberg's tire strategy, fitted with four hard tires, is the best at the moment. Sordo, who chose a mixed strategy, suffered a little more when Loeb, on soft tires, kept the pace.
