SS9: Neuville starts well

Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) a entamé la 3e étape du Rally Monte-Carlo by signing the scratch in the 31,17km of Lardier-et-Valença – Oze which is the longest course of the day. With a time of 24'02''9, the Belgian took 2''6 from his direct rival Sébastien Ogier (Ford), whileOtt Tänak dropped 20 seconds on the leader.

Elfyn Evans (Ford) took advantage of his Dmack tires to set the 3rd fastest time, less than 6s behind Thierry Neuville. Craig Breen (DS 3) was less than 17 seconds behind and took over 7 seconds from Dani Sordo (Hyundai).

Thierry Neuville now has a lead of nearly 48 seconds over Sébastien Ogier. The Frenchman made the difference over his teammate Ott Tänak who is now 18 seconds behind. Jari-Matti Latvala is now ahead of Craig Breen who is back in 5th place, one second ahead of Dani Sordo.
